Running races in Cyprus

Every road, trail, cross country and ultra race on the island in one place: 67 races and 172 courses, each with its date, distances, start point and, where one exists, a GPX route.

Most of the racing happens from autumn to spring, when the temperatures are kinder. Plenty of events pair a 5K or 10K with the main distance, so there is a start line for first-timers and families as well as experienced runners.

When are the running races in Cyprus?

Most road and trail races are held between October and April. The calendar lists 33 upcoming races. The next one listed is Alphamega Run as One on 18 OCT 2026 in Nicosia.

What distances are usually offered?

The 5K and 10K are the most common, followed by the half marathon and, at a handful of events, the full marathon or mountain ultras.

Are there GPX files for the routes?

29 of the 67 races have a GPX route file you can download or preview on the map, with an elevation profile.

How do I register?

RUN/CY does not take entries. Each race page links to the organiser’s own website or registration page.
